About The Position

The Principal Geologist/3D Geomodeler plays a key technical role in developing high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose 3D static reservoir models. You will integrate diverse subsurface datasets, perform seismic interpretation, assess uncertainty, and support volumetrics, reserves evaluations, and field development planning. This role requires strong technical proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while clearly communicating insights and subsurface risks.

Requirements

  • Have a degree in Geoscience, Geophysics, Earth Science, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • Have 5+ years of experience in geomodeling, seismic interpretation, or integrated subsurface analysis.
  • Have strong proficiency with geomodeling and seismic interpretation software such as Petrel, Kingdom, JewelSuite, RMS, or similar platforms.
  • Have a deep understanding of reservoir architecture, integrated subsurface workflows, and uncertainty modeling.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical insights and uncertainty to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities and an ability to collaborate effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience leading or managing technical components of projects (a strong advantage).

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining 3D static reservoir models (structural, facies, petrophysical, and geocellular) integrating geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data.
  • Developing subsurface frameworks including horizons, faults, structural frameworks, stratigraphic layering, and reservoir architecture.
  • Performing scenario‑based and uncertainty‑driven modeling to capture structural and stratigraphic variations.
  • Conducting depth conversion workflows and integrating seismic attributes into geomodeling processes.
  • Interpreting 2D/3D seismic datasets including horizons, faults, seismic facies, and structural elements.
  • Integrating seismic inversion, AVO/AVA, and seismic‑derived attributes to improve reservoir quality assessment and geobody identification.
  • Supporting depth imaging QC and conditioning seismic and geophysical data for modeling workflows.
  • Collaborating with geophysicists and petrophysicists on seismic‑to‑well ties, elastic property interpretation, and data integration.
  • Providing robust static models and key inputs for dynamic simulation studies.
  • Supporting field development planning, reserves evaluation, volumetrics generation, and prospect maturation.
  • Performing deterministic and probabilistic STOIIP/OGIP calculations and supporting uncertainty quantification efforts.
  • Contributing to well planning, drilling support, and operational subsurface decision‑making.
  • Advising and engaging with internal and external clients on technical delivery, project updates, and commercial opportunities

Benefits

  • Work‑life balance programs and wellbeing initiatives
  • High‑quality private medical coverage
  • Life insurance and disability protection
  • Tailored financial and retirement programs
  • Additional voluntary benefit options
  • You will be eligible to participate in Company-sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). You will have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs. Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.
  • This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which can be found here, and is further eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plans or policies.
