About The Position

As a Principal Full Stack Engineer, you will be a key member of Scrum teams within Digital Platforms Technology. Your role involves understanding all components of web applications and collaborating with your squad to deliver exceptional customer experience solutions. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to partner with diverse roles. You will work closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Architects to design, build, test, and deploy features for Fidelity’s Digital experiences. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring other Developers. The Fidelity's Workplace Solutions (WS) Digital Platforms Technology team is dedicated to designing, developing, implementing, and supporting WS’s Digital products and services. This fast-paced group focuses on innovative solutions and continuous improvement, utilizing Java-based technologies to create powerful tools and user experiences for customers. You will specifically support digital experience scrum teams within Stock Plan Services, an emerging equity compensation services division of Fidelity Investments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
• Experience collaborating in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
• Proficiency in client-side languages, libraries, and frameworks: Angular 14+, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS, Jasmine/Karma
• Proficiency with server-side/mid-tier languages, frameworks, libraries, and related technologies: Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, Maven
• A proven understanding of the Agile software development methodology
• Extensive experience decomposing sophisticated business problems into creative, efficient, and scalable solutions
• Relevant knowledge of modern application architecture patterns and emerging technologies
• Appreciation for and alignment to standard practices regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage
