About the position

The Principal Financial Analyst at Nightwing will play a crucial role in supporting the High Consequence Missions (HCM) Finance Team. This position involves managing complex financial deliverables, overseeing program life-cycle activities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in government contracting and financial analysis to contribute to the success of multiple programs within the HCM portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and submittal of complex Customer financial deliverables requiring significant attention to detail and advanced Excel skills.
  • Management of program life-cycle activities including project setup, invoicing support, and month-end close processes.
  • Collaboration with Supply Chain to monitor subcontractors and vendors, tracking metrics such as subcontract value and invoice payments.
  • Development of time-phased budgets and forecasting for bookings, sales, profit, and cash.
  • Preparation of quarterly estimates at completion (EAC) and oversight of contract funding.
  • Support program billings by preparing invoice submittals and necessary documentation for customers.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and data integrity checks to validate program cost performance.
  • Drive understanding of variances and work with stakeholders to address risks and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related financial experience in a Government Contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Basic knowledge of multiple contract types: CPFF, FFP, T&M, CPAF.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to interface effectively with Program Management and other functional organizations.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines with excellent customer focus and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working with SAP (APEX & Prism).
  • TS/SCI Clearance or higher.
