About The Position

Datasite is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join our Finance Data and Analytics team. This is a highly hands-on IC role where Analytics and BI engineering meet financial acumen and critical thinking. You will be responsible for architecting automated reporting workflows, managing metric governance to ensure 100% data integrity, and solving complex data problems. By leveraging modern business intelligence platforms and advanced analytics, you will build scalable solutions that provide leadership with the trusted, actionable intelligence required to make critical business decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, FP&A, or Revenue Operations, with a proven track record of automating complex reporting workflows and delivering actionable insights.
  • Strong data analytics and financial analysis skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.) as well as Microsoft 365 suite. Advanced Excel and Power BI required.
  • Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience querying and managing data in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric; ability to write efficient code for large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to replace manual Excel/spreadsheet dependencies with automated solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Proven experience establishing metrics governance frameworks for key performance indicators (e.g., ARR, Retention, Margins), ensuring that automated BI outputs strictly align with official definitions and accounting standards.
  • Proven ability to partner cross functionally, translating business requirements into technical data requirements as well as technical constraints into timelines and delivery risks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of SaaS business models and metrics and ability to translate them into data logic/requirements preferred
  • Salesforce Reporting (Reports / CRM Analytics / Einstein Analytics) experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical modeling or forecasting preferred
  • Relevant MS / analytics certifications preferred
  • Experience with planning and forecasting tools such as Anaplan preferred
  • Master’s degree in a data/analytics field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage executive-grade reporting and dashboards that go beyond just descriptive visualizations to provide actionable insights, trend analysis, and decision-intelligence for senior leadership.
  • Architect and automate business-critical financial reporting workflows using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), transforming manual Excel processes into resilient, automated solutions.
  • Lead complex scenario modeling and ad-hoc analysis for strategic initiatives using advanced analytics and BI tools.
  • Champion KPI governance by establishing automated validation checks for key metrics and ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and trust across all reporting layers.
  • Translate complex business intelligence requirements into technical specifications, acting as the primary bridge between the business and technical owners/teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by auditing existing data pipelines and reports for latency and inefficiency, implementing optimizations to enhance performance and user experience.
