This opportunity is located in Silverdale, WA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in STEM related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' related experience.
  • 4+ years' experience performing manufacturing, field integration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of systems at customer locations.
  • Familiarity with submarine strategic weapon systems tactical equipment refurbishment.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ordnance handling.
  • Experience with metallurgical disciplines and non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Experience in an Electrical Engineering or other Engineering background.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform or oversee installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment.
  • Support production activities on Launcher equipment in support of the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) contracted work at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC).
  • Support the planning, construction, and activation of a new Launcher Equipment Processing Building (LEPB).
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support functions on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyze and evaluate products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) oversight and technical support, including material review, for technicians on coordinative engineering field changes.
  • Maintain effective customer communications and relations.
  • Provide onsite training to Northrop Grumman and customer support personnel.
  • Support operation and maintenance of the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) missile Launcher subsystem on the TRIDENT and COLUMBIA class submarines.
  • Conduct fault isolation and material review of affected equipment IAW approved drawings, schematics, and approved procedures.
  • Perform/support review and analysis of engineering schematics, supplier design data, and support of functional test requirements.
  • Work with local customer engineering and local 3rd level and off-site 4th level plant engineering teams on product development and anomaly resolution.
  • Work with Government Logistics entities and Northrop Grumman Logistics to provision for and support tactical and support equipment.
  • Deploy to sister sites in Kings Bay, GA, and Cape Canaveral, FL.
