The Principal, Fee-For-Service Enablement and Delivery leads the project management function within Government Programs and Services, overseeing the successful implementation of Medicaid Fee-For-Service client initiatives. This role is responsible for designing and evolving the project management organizational structure, establishing strategic objectives and performance metrics, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Principal, Fee-For-Service Enablement and Delivery partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align projects with business goals, drive continuous improvement, adopt innovative tools and methodologies, and foster a customer-centric approach. Additionally, the role mentors and develops a multidisciplinary team of project managers, promotes best practices and risk management, and may directly manage complex projects across the full project lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement an organizational structure that supports efficient resource management and effective project delivery.
  • Establish strategic objectives and measurable performance indicators for continuous improvement of organizational maturity.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and closure of complex projects, with a focus on Medicaid Fee For Service Client implementations.
  • Oversee the establishment of best practices, processes, and standards for project execution within the organization.

  • Partners with multi-disciplinary teams, including senior management, sales, marketing, IT, operations, administration and others for project definition including: resources, time estimates and prioritization.
  • Participate in the Annual Planning process as it relates to GPS IT efforts and Initiatives.
  • Interfaces with other departments to determine project leaders.
  • Develops and reports performance measures for the team.
  • Oversees and/or directs the management and communication of project schedules and deadlines for the project management team.
  • Communicate with senior management for project prioritization and management of resource schedules.
  • May participates as a Lead Project Manager in the department.
  • Duties may include project management for the lifecycle of a project: scope and requirements definition and documentation, development or vendor evaluation, implementation and maintenance.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of software products and tools in order to accomplish job duties.
  • Manages assigned staff in the segment area.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary.
  • BA/BS Degree; 8+ years related experience and 8+ years of SME in respective area(s); (or equivalent combination of education and experience) with at least 4+ years leading individual contributors and leaders of leaders; which may be substituted with an appropriate mix of leadership experience and 5 years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (VP+ level) that must completed within 12 months in new position.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and other project management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent.
  • Management of large-scale healthcare or Medicaid-related projects.
  • Ability to implement organizational structures that enhance project delivery and organizational growth.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
