About this role Designs executive compensation programs in alignment with the Global Total Rewards strategy, manages the development of materials for the Leadership Development and Compensation Committee ("LDCC") of the Board of Directors, and leads development of the annual Proxy Statement. Your role will consist of * Collaborate with the Group Head, Total Rewards, and Head, Executive Compensation to create and optimize executive compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate senior executives, generating designs aligned with the Global Total Rewards strategy and supporting the Company's strategic goals. * Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, Operations, and external advisors to ensure executive compensation aligns with broader business objectives. * Drive creation and standardize executive compensation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness. * Reviews compensation analyses and recommendations for executives (e.g., off-cycle adjustments, promotions, new hire offers, retention concerns, etc.) and coordinates additional reviews / sign-offs across stakeholders; synthesizes data provided by the analyst from multiple sources to determine recommended compensation actions * Optimize the application of technology and data analytics to improve program efficiency and accuracy. * Apply market analyses and benchmarking to inform program design, ensuring alignment with standard methodology and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes. * Drive the creation of the annual Proxy Statement, generate the Compensation Discussion and Analysis section, and validate data accuracy. * Validate executive compensation program designs align with legal and regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations and corporate governance standards. * Create and deliver reports, analyses, and recommendations to management. * Provide mentorship to other members of the Total Rewards team and participate as an ad-hoc member in global compensation projects. Your training, skills, and experience checklist Education: * Preferred in Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Finance, or Legal. Experience: * Minimum of three years of corporate experience in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Finance, Legal, or a related field. * Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, Master's in Human Resources, Finance, or related field) a plus. * Preferred five or more years of experience in analyzing, implementing, and administering initiatives and business processes within a relevant discipline. * Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) are a plus. * Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards related to compensation, such as SOX or Dodd-Frank. Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge and experience in business, financial, and statistical analyses. * Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference. * Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience with statistical software (e.g., JMP, SPSS), data reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and data automation platforms (e.g., Power Apps) is a plus. * Preferred experience and understanding of total rewards philosophies and systems. * Industry experience in mining, energy, or construction is highly desirable. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, and demonstrated experience using data to drive decision-making and program improvements. * Proven capability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. * High degree of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels. * Flexibility to adapt to evolving business and stakeholder requirements. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality outputs. * Aptitude for continuous learning, with a proactive approach to staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. * Develops and refines existing systems, and develops new systems, by understanding trends within a single field of knowledge * Recognizes the interconnections of data from a flow of real events within a system (or knowledge field, or discipline) * Thinks about alternative means to achieve a goal by forming chains of hypothetical activities (if this, then that; if that, then the other) * Generates and tests hypotheses within a single field of knowledge * Determines the difference between special and systemic cause We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification. The salary range offered for this role is USD $146,250-$204,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
