Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in civil/environmental engineering or other related science with at least fifteen years of demonstrated consulting experience in Washington and Oregon.
  • Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (Civil) preferred Washington or Oregon
  • Work well independently
  • Can manage multiple tasks at the same time and work well in dynamic environments.
  • Have successfully completed a variety of site assessment and site characterizations for various client sectors
  • Have deep and proven experience with design and implementation of various remediation and mitigation techniques, including ex-situ, in-situ, and VIMS.
  • Are detailed and have excellent writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Experience with and design and implementation of ex-situ and in-situ remediation systems including Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Systems (VIMS)
  • Managing site assessment/remediation; hydrogeology; and environmental risk management studies and services.
  • Directing field studies, data gathering and sampling activities at sites, including soil and groundwater sampling, groundwater flow and hydrogeological data evaluation, chemical data and contaminant fate and transport evaluation, well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring, groundwater and soil remediation evaluation, environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permit acquisition.
  • Client service and identifying client needs.
  • Working closely with principals and project managers to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
  • Preparing technical reports and supporting cost estimates.
  • Mentorship of staff
  • Technical proposal writing and budget preparation
  • Collaborating with team members in strategic planning, pursuits and proposals
