The Principal Enterprise Architect will act as a Tech leader. The ideal candidate should possess the following key attributes: Ability to architect technical solutions that drive and support strategic business processes, ensuring the solutions are comprehensive, robust, scalable, and aligned around core business needs Continuously demonstrate technology thought leadership and build collaborative relationships within business and IT teams based on integrity and clarity of purpose. Advocates for the reduction of technical debt associated with simplified solutions that deliver specific business outcomes Evaluates and recommends technologies that solve business challenges, enhance customer and Team Member experience, and drive competitive advantage Actively collaborates and communicates across the BFS organization; acts as a facilitator, technology evangelist, innovator and change agent This role requires interaction at multiple levels, including working with frontline teams, corporate representatives, IT owners and BFS leadership. Ideal candidate will be focused across all layers of technology including solution, application, and security architectures. This person is also responsible for technical mentoring other IT peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years relevant hands-on experience in SAP product portfolio
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecting and deploying SAP systems, including S/4 HANA and other SAP products
  • Experience in Enterprise architecture or application architecture, application development, and/or systems management
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating the financial impact of technology solutions, including total cost of ownership, ROI, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Ability to translate technical ideas/designs to multiple audiences, including Executives.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, and/or Agile.
  • Ability to make architecture changes providing tactical and strategic approaches to the product teams in a dynamic Agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of large-scale integrated enterprise solutions, supporting integration patterns and associated technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiation skills with proven ability to influence at all levels and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills complemented by solid business and technical background, and keen interest in business operations, process improvement, and change impact.
  • Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
  • Experience in ITIL, SDLC, Agile, and other common frameworks
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Established strategic and critical analysis skills
  • Proven skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

  • Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute on IT strategy to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information, and technology assets.
  • Partners with business and technology subject matter experts translate business requirements into technological solutions.
  • Assess the financial and strategic impact of proposed solutions and technology trends, ensuring alignment with requirements, architectural standards, and total cost of ownership.
  • Coordinate, review, and approve projects to ensure compliance with architectural standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Present to stakeholders on how architectural options will meet their needs.
  • Help business leaders and their teams think through the technology, business, and operational implications of their technology investment decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impact or application for the organization.
  • Participate in ERP strategy decisions and provide ERP consulting within IT teams.
  • Conduct research and Proofs of Concept on emerging technologies in support of anticipated development efforts.
  • Recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
