About The Position

THE TEAM The mission of the Global Architecture Department is to set global architecture strategies and standards to enable secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that accelerate our business goals. THE OPPORTUNITY As a member of the Global Architecture Department, you will be part of the team responsible for driving architectural excellence, ensuring Aritzia’s technology solutions across the enterprise are secure and well-positioned for future growth. As the Principal Enterprise Architect supporting Product and Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we leverage technology to design, plan, source, and produce our beautiful product. You will drive the multi-year architecture strategy and technology roadmap across the entire product lifecycle, from inception and design through PLM, merchandising financial planning, allocation, purchase order creation, and manufacturing, ensuring alignment with Aritzia’s business strategy and measurable outcomes. THE ROLE As the Principal Enterprise Architect, you will: Develop and maintain the architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap for Aritzia’s product creation and upstream supply chain domains, spanning product inception to manufacturer handoff Partner strategically with business and technology leaders to shape initiatives that modernize and transform product development and manufacturing capabilities Evangelize emerging technologies and industry trends, influencing Aritzia’s roadmap to maintain a competitive edge through cutting-edge solutions Embed AI and ML capabilities into the technology ecosystem, driving automation, predictive insights, and intelligent decision-making Translate corporate strategy into actionable technology direction and ensure architecture investments deliver tangible business value Influence and guide solution architects and engineering teams, ensuring design consistency, scalability, and alignment with global principles Drive modernization across product and manufacturing systems, ensuring flexibility and future-readiness Collaborate closely with peers across the Technology Division to ensure end-to-end integration across product, supply chain, retail, and digital commerce capabilities Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration through engineering communities of practice and lead the creation and adoption of engineering best practices THE QUALIFICATIONS The Principal Enterprise Architect has p roven skills, certifications, education, and/or experience: 20+ years of experience architecting and delivering technology solutions in product lifecycle, manufacturing, or upstream supply chain domains, with a focus on the retail industry Proven leadership in cloud migrations, data integrations, DevOps, backend engineering, and off-the-shelf package implementations Strong technology and engineering background, including experience with: Modern cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) Integration patterns and data-driven frameworks PLM, Costing and ERP systems AI/ML applications and machine learning pipelines Distributed computing, containers (Kubernetes), and microservices Technologies such as Java, Springboot, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Snowflake, PowerBI Experience managing large budgets and leading cross-functional teams in complex, global environments Experience in vendor relationship management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement Appreciation for Aritzia’s obsession with design, quality, and excellence, and ability to translate that into technology standards and solutions that scale A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, enabling complex ideas to be clearly articulated and connected to Aritzia’s purpose and strategic a mbitions The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team Ability to align global architecture with business strategy and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience architecting and delivering technology solutions in product lifecycle, manufacturing, or upstream supply chain domains, with a focus on the retail industry
  • Proven leadership in cloud migrations, data integrations, DevOps, backend engineering, and off-the-shelf package implementations
