About The Position

The Principal Engineering Technician serves as a senior technical resource and mentor, performing complex technical work to support the design, development, modification, and improvement of equipment, tools, processes, and test systems.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Associate’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering technician experience
• Advanced troubleshooting and technical problem solving
• Complex instrumentation and engineering test equipment
• Technical documentation and spreadsheet-based data analysis
• Test software support and validation
• Block diagram development and system documentation
• Ability to interpret complex specifications, engineering requirements, contracts, standards, and policies

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide junior technicians by providing technical direction and troubleshooting expertise
• Support the design, development, modification, and improvement of equipment, tools, and engineering processes
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, problem analysis, and technical solutions using complex instrumentation and software tools
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering support materials
• Create and manage spreadsheets for data analysis, technical reports, and engineering documentation
• Assist with test software development and system validation activities
• Develop and interpret complex block diagrams and system documentation
• Apply and interpret technical specifications, requirements, contracts, policies, and engineering standards
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and technical innovation
