About The Position

The Principal Engineer at ARM will play a crucial role in the Solution Engineering team, focusing on SoC verification for advanced silicon demonstrators targeting mobile, infrastructure, and automotive markets. This position involves collaborating with a diverse team of engineers across multiple countries to architect and implement high-performance silicon test chips, utilizing cutting-edge technology and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar field).
  • Over 5 years of experience in design or verification of sophisticated compute subsystems or SoCs.
  • Solid understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
  • Detailed understanding of current verification strategies for SoC development, including software-based techniques.
  • Experience verifying subsystems for PCIe/CXL, DDRx/LPDDRx, HBM.
  • Good knowledge of test plan creation and tracking.
  • Experience verifying RTL for SoC projects.
  • Low-level programming experience including C and Assembler.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Arm-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and verification methodologies - UVM/OVM/e.
  • Knowledge of formal verification techniques.
  • Experience with clock domain crossing verification.
  • Experience with Perl, Python or other scripting languages.
  • Power aware verification experience.
  • Development and deployment of complex Arm SoCs on multiple emulation platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Crafting test plans and developing SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and tests.
  • Debugging test failures and issues in SoC verification.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of verification methodologies.
  • Working closely with project teams to understand and review architecture and design specifications.
  • Guiding and supporting junior team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Balancing project management activities, plans, and schedules.
