As a Principal Engineer Zone Controllers Applications, you will be responsible for providing Regional technical expertise focused on automotive electronic Zone Controllers and Power Distribution Centers. You will develop system understanding and create system solutions utilizing Infineon's Automotive Smart Power Devices including High Side Drivers, Motor Drivers, PMICs, LED Drivers, IVN and related products. You will collaborate with Field Application Engineers and Account Managers to provide 2nd level expert product support to OEMs and Tier 1s to secure new business opportunities. As a key member of a global expert team, you will work across multiple product lines developing new concepts, innovation projects, and new technologies to advance our product roadmaps. You will establish and develop trusted relationships with key customer engineering personnel and decision makers, and engage with global product lines and regional marketing on strategies and best practices impacting our business growth and strategic direction.

  • Provide regional technical expertise focused on automotive electronic Zone Controllers and Power Distribution Centers.
  • Develop system understanding and create system solutions utilizing Infineon's Automotive Smart Power Devices.
  • Collaborate with Field Application Engineers and Account Managers to provide 2nd level expert product support to OEMs and Tier 1s.
  • Work as a key member of a global expert team developing new concepts and technologies.
  • Establish and develop trusted relationships with key customer engineering personnel.
  • Engage with global product lines and regional marketing on strategies impacting business growth.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, MSEE preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a semiconductor Application Engineer or automotive electronic system design engineer.
  • Strong technical knowledge and design experience on a system level including software experience.
  • Broad understanding of power devices and technologies used in automotive smart power solutions.
  • Experience in thermal design, modeling, simulation, and analysis is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with customers and internal partners.
  • Experience serving automotive electronics such as Body Control Modules, Smart Power Distribution Centers, Door Modules, Gateways, and Zone Controllers.
  • Ability to utilize new and innovative methods to confront and solve problems.
  • Business acumen to assess technical viability of solutions.
