Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems presents an excellent opportunity for a Principal Engineer Systems Test - Test Analyst (GAITS) (25-348) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This role, based at Schriever Space Force Base or in Colorado Springs, CO, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not offer relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, ensuring an optimal response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC plays a key role in all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities. The primary responsibility of this role is to work as part of the C2BMC-G test team to test the C2BMC-G product and its interactions with external entities. This involves verifying and validating the product through various testing activities. These include coordinating with external partners for system-to-system tests, collaborating with Development teams to understand system improvements, testing the C2BMC-G product against requirements, documenting and verifying bugs, and participating in system-of-system test events to validate the product. Additionally, you will analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and help enhance the C2BMC-G product for future operations. Please note that this position may require working outside standard hours during event execution and occasional travel, though travel is expected to be limited. Overall, this role is essential in ensuring the C2BMC-G product meets standards and functions correctly for its intended use.
