Up to 10% international/national travel per year (typically for rig testing and customer support and/or flight test and customer meetings).   • Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
  • Consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics.
  • Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generate verification criteria and plan for the requirements.
  • Perform architectural exploration.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and make recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics or a related field and 8 years of progressive experience as a Systems Engineer, Project Engineer or related role.
  • In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Project Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in the Avionics industry, working with safety critical (ARP-4754) product development.
  • Must possess at least 4 years of experience with Avionics certification activities and certification requirements, including onboard, flight and rig testing.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience working in a matrixed environment with multiple avionics based products (FMS, EICAS, FDSA, etc.) to perform and coordinate verification and validation activities in support of FAA or other authority certification.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience leading teams, by serving as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner in development of Avionics systems display software and certification process detail project planning including Key Performance Indicators and cost analysis.
