About The Position

At Palo Alto Networks, we are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our GlobalProtect team, which is responsible for securing network traffic from customer devices to Prisma Access Cloud. The role involves designing, developing, and delivering next-generation technologies within Prisma Access. The ideal candidate will lead the innovation and maintenance of a secure access Prisma Access client on the Linux platform, collaborate with product management to craft strategic roadmaps, design scalable system architectures, and provide mentorship to team members. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Linux.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux systems programming.
  • Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and system-level programming.
  • Familiarity with multiple Linux distributions: RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Familiarity with the RUST programming language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting tools on Linux platforms.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, ready to tackle complex problems.
  • Skilled at collaboration and effective communication across multiple teams.
  • M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
