About The Position

Joining Collins Aerospace isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. What YOU will do Develop and support software verification activities of Flight Display avionics applications which involved developing testing infrastructure for flight display software. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and technical focal to provide technical guidance to the team in FDSA verification and target execution. Perform verification of the FDSA functionalities and software of high complexity as per DO-178B Standards and used the company proprietary tools — ADAPT, VISTA, VAPS, PREP, LARGE tools. Perform analysis of software and identified bugs in the software. Coordinate with offsite leads in resolving the technical issues, identified and provided solutions to fix issues in target setup. Identify technical dependencies, issues and risks; take necessary actions to solve those. Develop requirements-based test procedures and performed requirements based verification that included structural coverage analysis. Perform peer review on System and Software Requirements, and Test. Serve in the key role as presenter in FAA SO Audits and supported certification activities for all FDSA programs. Create certification documentation activities such as RFS (Run For Score) activities and reviewed the final documentation. Define high and low level requirements, test cases, test procedures and provided linking to implementation using DOORS and managed software traceability. Create software build and integration on host platform and was involved in Software Application integration and verification on the Hardware and Target test station. Create unit testing ability (along with continued regression testing ability) such that software components may be developed and comprehensively tested in a simulation environment — if such a way does not exist, looked for ways to create one. Participate in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems of limited to moderate complexity. Contribute to engineering estimates for limited scope such as change requests or problem reports. Conduct multidisciplinary research in assisting Application designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of data processing for Flight Display Application and commercial software to develop software engineering activities. Act as a mentor to junior engineers in assignments, processes and tools. Provided technical feedback to junior engineers. Apply major RC processes related to software development and verification to the project.
