Toyota Battery Manufacturing at North Carolina (TBMNC) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Principal Engineer - Siemens OpCenter System Integration & Agile Process. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the third-party system integration team to ensure efficient execution of the backlog, resolution of issues, and continuous improvement of team performance. You will also collaborate with functional leaders to intake, prioritize, and allocate work, while ensuring Agile practices are followed and key metrics are tracked. Reporting to the TBMNC Manufacturing Operation Management Functional Manager, the person in this role will support the TBMNC BEV Manufacturing Systems department's objective to ensure seamless execution of system integration tasks by managing the third-party team, driving Agile processes, and aligning deliverables with business needs to support organizational goals.

  • Design, configure, and develop solutions within Siemens OpCenter to meet project requirements.
  • Implement and test integrations between OpCenter and other enterprise systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development processes, configurations, and integrations.
  • Analyze system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical support for system issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions.
  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND/OR commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven years of experience in software development with a focus on system integration and application development, particularly within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in Siemens OpCenter, including OpCenter Execution (EXDS), OpCenter Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), and Teamcenter.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, and/or Python.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing Agile development practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in performance optimization of integrated systems.
  • Ability to analyze and report on key performance metrics related to development activities.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and development tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Work experience in system integration for complex enterprise applications.
  • Advanced experience managing system integrations with third-party vendors.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in managing remote or distributed teams.
