If you enjoy working with teams to enhance the security of their applications one day, writing full stack code the next, and wrapping up your week writing infrastructure as code to deploy changes to the cloud we want to talk to you. We are looking for team members who can critically analyze a problem, collaborate with software and security teams to find a solution, and own the delivery of that solution. The Senior Full Stack Cybersecurity Engineer will work with software engineers and teams to design, implement, and deploy complete systems, ensuring they meet cybersecurity requirements and best practices. The engineer will bring a security first focus to the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of full stack software products that typically include front end web frameworks, back-end services, micro services, databases, and all associated cloud infrastructure required to deploy and maintain the solution. The engineer will help ensure that our software, systems and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. By serving as a point of contact to Cybersecurity teams, performing technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing, they will highlight risk and remediate associated findings while helping T-Mobile teams and partners improve security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Required).
  • 5+ years full stack web development experience including front and back end.
  • Experience in security and risk assessments, threat modeling, and compliance.
  • Experience in incident response and vulnerability remediation.
  • 5+ years designing database schemas, writing SQL.
  • 2+ years DevOps experience with infrastructure as code.
  • 3+ years using cloud services from AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • 4+ years software engineering experience.
  • Expected to be able to setup a completely new full stack environment from scratch including build steps and backend infrastructure (Required).
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Webpack, JavaScript, at least one front end framework and one backend framework (Required).
  • Understands web protocols, how full stack applications operate and data flows (Required).
  • Understanding of database modeling and SQL. Capable of performance tuning and refactoring from one data store to another (Required).
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design new infrastructure and monitor existing systems to ensure security compliance.
  • Work with engineers to develop full-stack web solutions with a focus on security.
  • Advise engineering teams on security, compliance, and risk assessments.
  • Interface with groups including Cybersecurity, application support, engineering ops, privacy.
  • Perform security analysis of existing and new technologies and form recommendations on their use.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance existing systems and processes.
  • Leads the identification of security needs & recommends plans/resolutions.
  • Implements, tests & monitors info security improvements.
  • Leads information security reviews of Engineering projects and proposals.
  • Executes security projects driven by groups both internal and external to Engineering teams.
  • Mentor peers and junior team members in security technologies, enterprise solution design and facilitation and effective customer interaction.
  • Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
