Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements for solving technical tasks identified by management. Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work performed. Additional Experience Qualifications Provide design engineering staff augmentation support to SRNS. Primary responsibilities include engineering task analysis, walk-downs, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Location Plans, Connection Diagrams, Conduit / Block Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Panel Detail Drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Battery Loading Calculations in accordance with national consensus codes and standards. Provide technical support to site construction forces, start-up & testing, suppliers or subcontract personnel. Prepare Data Sheets, Statements of Work, Procurement Specifications, Design Build Specifications, and Purchase Requisitions. - Engineering services shall be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS. Additional Experience Qualifications - The following qualifications are required for this position: - Candidate must demonstrate ten (10) years of recent design experience, four (4) of which shall be in the following area of expertise: - Fire Alarm, Detection and Signaling Design - General knowledge of electrical/control systems, connection diagrams, layout plans, logic diagrams, panel layout details, P&ID’s, and battery loading calculations - Working knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, and National Consensus Codes and Standards such as NFPA 13, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, NFPA 90A, NFPA 101, IBC, and various other ISA and IEEE standards - Experience with 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) - Ability to operate Windows Microsoft Office Applications - The following qualifications are preferred for this position: - Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience - Proficiency in using MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software. - Previous SRS design experience and familiarity with the processes and procedures for providing engineering support to SRS facilities. - Possession of an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years is preferred. Additional Work Requirements - Candidate must be able to perform weekly field walk downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances of over half a mile, climbing of ladders to access remote areas, dressing out in protective clothing and environments where a respirator is required. - Please note – Travel cannot take place until it has been approved by procurement via a fully funded requisition and added to the Task Order Authorization. A justification, travel locations, estimated cost, and dates of travel must be provided prior to procurement approval. SRNS will not reimburse for travel to conferences or trainings. Please remember, all rates are fully burdened and should include all costs outside of direct business travel. Work Environment / Physical Demands: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Requirements

Ph.D. degree in applicable science or engineering discipline and 5+ years’ experience. OR A MS with 8+ years’ experience. OR A BS with 10+ years’ experience or more.
Candidate must demonstrate ten (10) years of recent design experience, four (4) of which shall be in the following area of expertise:
