Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking a Process Engineer to support our the Case Prep Process Engineering team at our Bacchus (Magna Utah), and/or our Copper Crossing (Salt Lake City Utah) facilities. Role Description & Responsibilities: Developing and improving thermal manufacturing processes Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (i.e. engineering and planning documents) Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning Preparing and presenting technical presentations to VSET, leadership, and to the customers for review and approval Performing table top reviews Using SPC tools to ensure process control Developing and incorporating process improvements Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions Supporting design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions Supporting design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment Northrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in STEM Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered
  • 5 years of experience or 3 years with a Master's.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and Customer Service Skills
  • Process Controls (SPC)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
  • Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience writing shop planning (preferred)
  • Experience working with energetic materials and processes. (preferred)
