AI/ML Engineer: to productize, optimize, deploy and scale AI/ML products Description: We’re seeking an AI Operations Engineer who specializes in designing, testing, deploying and scaling complex software systems, primarily in scientific or ML-driven environments.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of system design and software architecture
  • Strong QA/QC background with experience in manual & automated testing
  • Proven ability to implement test frameworks
  • Expertise in refactoring complex, scientific, or ML codebases
  • Strong experience with testing tools (we use Pytest) and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • Knowledge of API testing, data validation, and data pipeline testing
  • Ability to analyze and improve legacy code for testability
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Good understanding of scientific computing and ML frameworks
  • Experience with high-performance computing or large-scale scientific systems
  • Comfortable working in a relatively fast-moving environment where priorities may shift and initiative is valued
  • Proactive problem-solver who can anticipate needs and find solutions
  • Comfortable working independently, but also a strong team player
  • Experience with Jenkins, Sonarqube

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing, reviewing, testing and deployments of machine learning software pipelines
  • Automate manual processes for AI/ML products
  • Lead system design reviews, advocating best practices for architecture and reliability
  • Develop and implement automated testing frameworks
  • Refactor and improve unstructured scientific or ML codebases for modularity and robustness
  • Identify and implement test plans for complex software components, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and developers to embed testing and quality checkpoints
  • Establish testing standards and workflows for continuous integration and deployment
  • Conduct code reviews with a focus on design, testability, and maintainability
  • Document system design decisions, test cases, and best practices

  • Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
