Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Principal Electromechanical Engineer to join our team. This position would be based in Aurora, Colorado. The selected candidate for this role will be someone with experience applying electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems. The role will include decomposing system level requirements, developing acceptance criteria for verification for compute, datacenter, environmental and antenna systems. The candidate will support and participate in the design, test, modification, assembly and integration of prototype electromechanical systems supporting RF antennas as part of a larger system infrastructure. A successful candidate will have experience that includes RF equipment design, integration, verification, or deployment.

Requirements

  • 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelors-STEM degree; 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters-STEM degree; 1 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD-STEM.
  • Must have an Active/Final TS/SCI DoD security clearance at the time of application.
  • Meet the requirements of DoD 8570.1-M at the IAT II or IAT III Level.
  • Must have Security+ and be current with Continuing Education (CE) requirements: CCNA Security, GSEC, and SSCP or must able to obtain Security+ within 3 months of hire date.
  • Familiar with VMware version 6 or 7, Data Center Virtualization (ESXi, etc.), Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Servers, Cisco Networks.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of operational experience supporting and maintaining RF antennas in a multi-INT environment, including imagery/GEOINT.
  • Hold VMware VCP-DCV, version 6 or newer Certification and at least 1 other of the following: Microsoft: MCSA Windows Server 2012 or MCSA Windows Server 2016, Linux: Linux+, LPIC-1, or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Coordinate for and support external interface integration, connection to network points of presence, and checkout/confirmation testing efforts.
  • Create discrepancy reports (DR’s) and provide weekly status reports to factory in Aurora, CO.
  • Support and participate in the design, test, modification, assembly and integration of prototype electromechanical systems supporting RF antennas.
