About The Position

The Electronics Team is searching for a candidate to work in a multi-discipline production environment. This role will work within a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through product development and production. The Electrical Production Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments. Responsibilities will include mentoring less experienced engineers, working with suppliers and supporting the team to deliver program data-based evidence to ensure proper decision-making for the direction of the program. Technical troubleshooting of production hardware and test equipment. Review designs and system requirements to resolve production issues. Investigate root-cause failures. Review and modify subsystem requirements and test plans. Act as a subject matter expert (SME), preparing and presenting to peers, administration, and government customers. Work within a multi-disciplined team including electronics hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, systems, test, supply chain, etc. Collaboration with both Functional and Program higher level administration as well as Customer and Suppliers. This role will serve as both mentor and mentee. Assignments may require some travel, including foreign travel. This role is 100% ONSITE in Huntsville, Alabama.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or relevant, equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience.
  • Experience as an IPTL or REA role in the defense industry.
  • Experience in analysis, test, measurement and/or integration of electrical products or systems.
  • Experience in low level electronics troubleshooting.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

  • Experience in project guidance, systems engineering and architecture.
  • Desire to grow into a higher level of authority.
  • Experience with failure investigation, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience with requirements verification test planning and implementation.
  • Current or prior experience with Strategic Missile Defense or Naval Power systems development and/or production.
