  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience; medical device development experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools and multi-layer board layout (4+ layers), including signal integrity considerations.
  • Strong skills in C programming, analog, and digital circuit design.
  • Experience in electromechanical design for medical products with emphasis on material selection for performance and reliability.
  • Ability to independently design, analyze, and verify circuits using electronic component datasheets.
  • Familiarity with relevant industrial standards and hands-on experience with EMC/ESD debugging.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with complex, multi-subsystem equipment (electronic, optical, fluidic, software) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, and optimize electrical hardware in alignment with project goals, including schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, BOM generation, and functional implementation.
  • Generate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis to enhance existing electrical systems, components, and products.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on the development, debugging, and verification testing of electromechanical and embedded systems.
  • Provide technical support through verification, production, and post-launch phases.
  • Lead product testing to ensure compliance with applicable medical electrical standards (e.g., EMC/IEC).
  • Prepare detailed subsystem technical files, user manuals, and related documentation.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior electrical engineers.
  • Build deep technical expertise across all Cytek cytometer systems and develop the ability to analyze and troubleshoot electromechanical subsystems.
