About The Position

MTSI is looking for an Electrical Engineer with an emphasis in air vehicle avionics, schematics, electrical signals, and power systems. The candidate shall have knowledge of electronics engineering in support of the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, production and sustainment of new and existing weapon systems and their subsystems. They shall apply an understanding of system and subsystem-level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation. Shall review/develop/update applicable program documentation for engineering relevant requirements. Shall apply an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics to support the core engineering tasks as they relate to sustaining engineering. Shall work on tasks in integrated product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Physics from an ABET accredited post-secondary education source and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Top Secret
  • Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • This position requires 100% customer location work (Eglin AFB, FL)—Work from home opportunities are possible but limited with this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MS/ME) degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is highly desired and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Familiar with basics and analysis of electrical and electronic circuits, software control of electronic circuits, IEEE standard communication circuits, electro-mechanical interface design, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog interfaces, electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and safety of flight requirements in electrical and electronic circuitry.
  • Serves as technical expert for the organization and provides advice and assistance to organizational leadership on problems, issues and projects for assigned programs.
  • Perform duties in research, development, testing, evaluation, operation and maintenance of electrical devices/systems.
  • Systematically applies expertise in electronics engineering to improve operations and/or resolve unique or complex problems or issues.
