About The Position

Infleqtion is seeking an exceptional Principal Electrical Engineer with strong technical and people leadership experience to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of complex electronics systems supporting quantum sensors in demanding environments, with a primary focus on space-deployed systems. This role owns the end-to-end electrical design of sophisticated control, telemetry, and HW/SW electronic systems and subsystems that enable Infleqtion’s quantum products to operate reliably in mission-critical conditions. In this role, the Principal Electrical Engineer will lead and grow a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team, establishing clear roles, priorities, schedules, and performance expectations aligned with program objectives. The position carries accountability for technical quality, cost, and schedule, including ownership of detailed planning, proactive risk and resource management, and early problem resolution. The successful candidate will foster a strong engineering culture emphasizing accountability, professional rigor, and continuous improvement. The role requires close collaboration with management, researchers, systems engineers, aerospace experts, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and external subcontractors. The individual will actively engage customers and partners throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring delivery against milestones and commitments while maintaining alignment with Infleqtion’s internal product lifecycle and quality standards. Cross-disciplinary engagement is expected, with this role driving technical alignment across hardware, software, systems, and mission domains. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence Infleqtion’s prototype and product roadmap, shape the evolution of space-qualified quantum systems, and contribute directly to the company’s leadership in deploying quantum technologies into new and challenging environments.
