Panduit is seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Engineer - Building Systems to join our team. If you have experience managing electrical projects, a strong understanding of building systems, and expertise in AutoCAD, this is your chance to lead exciting projects from start to finish! You'll work across multiple plants, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality results that exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year.
  • 8-10 years' experience, with proven experience managing electrical projects in the building systems sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and practices (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor project progress and implement solutions to address challenges or delays.
  • Design and analyze electrical systems for industrial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct load calculations, system layouts, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare project documentation, including specifications, reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Update designs based on project changes and feedback.
