Avionics Test Engineering has an opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer to design innovative hardware and software test solutions for an array of Collins Aerospace Display products. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop test software and hardware for aviation products. The Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing test solutions. These solutions support our $5B Avionics strategic business and external customers, including armed services and airlines, both domestic and international. In this role, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges across a variety of hardware and software systems, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components such as switch systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. You’ll lead hands-on engineering troubleshooting activities with both modern and legacy technologies, ensuring test solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. You’ll collaborate with engineers and leaders across global locations, sharing expertise and contributing to projects that impact customers worldwide. This highly collaborative role offers exposure to advanced aerospace systems, mentorship opportunities, and a pathway to future leadership roles. As a senior member of the team, you’ll contribute to technical strategy and play a key role in shaping the future of Avionics Test Engineering at Collins Aerospace.
