The Cambridge Consultants brand under Capgemini develops breakthrough products, creates and licenses intellectual property, and provides business consultancy in technology-critical issues for clients worldwide. For more than 50 years, the company has been helping its clients turn business opportunities into commercial successes, whether they are launching first-to-market products, entering new markets, or expanding existing markets through the introduction of new technologies. The newly-formed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) group in North America develops innovative new technology to enable world-leading wireless communications capabilities for US Government applications. We are looking for talented, experienced DSP engineers with an interest in designing and implementing systems using advanced signal processing algorithms to create new capabilities in the areas of wireless communications, sensors, audio processing, and image processing systems. In this role you will design and develop prototype systems that demonstrate novel capabilities for a diverse range of products. Whereas Cambridge Consultants has produced innovations linked below for commercial entities, our team has been spun out in order to provide this sort of advanced capability for US Government clients.

  • Design and develop prototype systems that demonstrate novel capabilities for a diverse range of products.
  • Engage with clients to combine state-of-the-art signal processing theory with practical implementation.
  • Develop proof-of-concept demonstrations for initial sales leads.
  • Design, implement, and test innovative new products.
  • Contribute to new IP generation and influence the direction of DSP skillset development.
  • MS/BS with 7+ years of experience in a field related to digital signal processing (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of signal processing theory and applications for communications systems.
  • 7+ years experience in FPGA design, verification, synthesis, and RTL coding/simulation.
  • Experience with scripting and analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python.
  • C, C++, or Rust programming and software engineering skills.
  • Good testing habits: unit testing, system testing, regression testing, etc.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to convey designs and ideas.
  • Experience in embedded real-time programming.
  • Experience with RF or Audio test equipment.
  • Experience in image, audio, and/or machine learning algorithm development and implementation.
  • Exposure to relevant industry communications standards (3GPP, IEEE, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.)
