What You Will Do: Raytheon Manufacturing Engineering Central Services has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Software Systems Engineer team member to join our Team. As a Principal Digital Factory Developer, you will be a key contributor to design, development, integration, testing and deployment of advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies using Ignition and in support of modernizing the way our manufacturing engineers manage and improve our factories and technology. Additionally, this role will perform troubleshooting and sustainment for any hardware and software issues identified from the Central Services suite of products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts. Responsibilities will include: Leading and executing projects involving Ignition application development. Working across portfolios to develop enterprise solutions which harmonize and streamline processes and technology for manufacturing. Contribute to continued growth and deployment of Raytheon IIOT by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms. Working in close alignment with Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) in support of solution partnership and alignment of backlogs Working with SDF&A to select communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, etc). Contributing to major projects and work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems supporting Manufacturing Engineering. Analyzing and correlating large, complex data sets; and aligning to digital thread strategy; developing and executing analytics reports and visualization toolsets while ensuring data integrity. Requirements

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience developing software applications and/or software in an industrial or commercial environment
  • Experience using combination of tools such as: SQL, Python, JSON, C#/.NET, HTML5

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing solutions in Ignition
  • Ignition gold certification or willingness to achieve one
  • Experience with SQL Server, SQL Server job agent automation, SQL Server SSIS, Snowflake, Databricks, PowerBI, Tableau, SAP, Eyelit, Windows Task Scheduler Automation
  • Experience with big data and data engineering
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
  • Understanding of automation systems (robots, vision systems, PLCs, etc.)
