About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented DevOps Network Engineer to join our team! The position is in support of a development team building red team tools. You'll provide, design and implement solutions to improve the development experience (DX), Continuous Integration (CI), and your own ability to manage, maintain, and secure the development network.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 10+ years of experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with Python, Networking
• Knowledgeable of DHCP, DNS, routes, routers, switches, and firewalls to aid in network troubleshooting and design
• Experience with one or more: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt (configuration management)
• Experience with one or more: GitLab CI, Jenkins CI, GitHub CI
• Experience with one or more: Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat
• Experience with one or more: Docker, Podman, or OCI containers
• Proficient with (RHEL), OpenSUSE
• Proficient with Windows (any version)
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills with a focus on the creation of technical documentation for testing

• 10+ years of IT Network Engineer of Software Developer/Software Developer in Test experience

Responsibilities

• Design and define IT networks for new or existing computer systems supporting the development team.
• Perform complex systems development and IT infrastructure design work that may include logical network design, physical network design, manufacturing and development cost projections, and IT systems engineering.
• Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding integrating these technologies into the existing network.
• Develop documentation on new or existing systems.
• Write custom HTTP/Rest/DNS/etc. server to solve unique problems.
• Partner with our testing team in support of network operating security and efficiency.
