About The Position

As a Principal Delivery Stream Engineer, you will lead and oversee all procurement activities. These activities include both pre-PO and post-PO tasks for APx I&C. You will focus on ensuring that components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements. Candidate shall be a contributor responsible for large-scale Procurement Projects, working with teams and standard build, and report project implementation plans. Lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution. You will report to Energy Systems AP1000 WBS 10 I&C Lead and will be located in our Cranberry, PA location. This is a hybrid position with 2 days in office.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in engineering. Electrical or control systems background preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in contract/project administration of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated governance skills across cultures, languages, and locations.

Responsibilities

  • Approve Safety Related requisitions.
  • Review and communicate safety-related requirements and details with suppliers.
  • Support development of procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.
  • Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve our goals while driving continuous improvement:
  • Coordinate the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.
  • RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions.
  • Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment, components, and services.
  • Lead Contract preparation and purchasing process.
  • Analyze all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.
  • Develop relationships with main suppliers and partners while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
  • Use the corporate Approved Supplier List Process for sourcing requirements.
