About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Data Scientist - REMOTE. In this vital role, you will serve as a senior individual-contributor authority on semantic modeling, context engineering, and AI-first data science. Your work will enable high-performing machine learning approaches and generative AI systems through well-architected context. As an AI Context Architect, you will design foundational semantic structures that improve the accuracy, explainability, and performance of AI systems, collaborating across multiple domains to make a significant impact in life sciences and healthcare.

Requirements

Doctorate degree with 2 years or Master's degree with 4 years in Data Science or related field.
10+ years applying data science in enterprise environments preferred.
Deep expertise in semantic modeling and knowledge graphs.
Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and performance drivers.
Practical experience with RAG/retrieval and vector search solutions.
Working knowledge of reinforcement learning concepts.
Proficiency in Python and modern data/ML stacks.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise-grade semantic representations for healthcare/life-sciences concepts.
Create and maintain semantic schemas, ontologies, and knowledge-graph models optimized for AI reasoning.
Establish context engineering standards for data shaping into prompts and structured outputs.
Lead feature engineering strategy directly impacting model performance.
Perform exploratory data analysis on complex datasets to identify predictive signals.
Build and evaluate context-aware ML/GenAI solutions integrating semantic layers.
Architect and implement retrieval and memory patterns.
Translate domain needs into semantic and AI roadmaps.
