Job Description: Cotality is a property and location intelligence company. The hybrid-remote team you will join builds products that are at the core of all of Cotality’s data business. We are a cross-functional group of data scientists, engineers and domain SMEs in charge of digitally modelling real estate assets at a nationwide scale, both geographically and through other defining characteristics.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in working in the Data Analytics industry
  • Hands-on experience in analyzing and building data science and analytics solutions with large scale datasets using SQL based query languages, and Python based data science libraries
  • Understanding of US addresses and location based data
  • Hands-on experience in building data visualizations, especially map based visualizations to showcase broad patterns of problems and opportunities in data, as well as the value added in our data science solutions
  • Excellent articulation skills that complement the development skills to tell data stories
  • Team player who collaborates and complements colleagues in a cross-functional team to solve hard problems
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Natural language processing, text embeddings, semantic similarity
  • Working with US land parcel and/or building footprints data
  • Working in a Pyspark notebook based environment

Responsibilities

  • Harness the richest property and geospatial data catalog in the industry to identify uniquely identifiable locations of property development, urban expansion, and transactional activity
  • Apply a variety of data science, machine learning, and deep learning techniques across multi-modal data assets
  • Leverage cloud-native BigData processing capabilities on Google Cloud, directly in designing and building models, and in partnership with our engineering resources to build pipelines around them
  • Partner with API engineering teams to make insights available to internal and external customers.
  • Consult on data domain, schema and data subject matter in general
  • Partner with Product Management and Sales Engineering to help build data product narratives
  • Participate in consultative sessions with select customers to amplify the understanding of data science led value in our data products
