About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Data Manager providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM’s main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.

Requirements

  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Level Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Top Secret level clearance with current SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in the DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support in planning, developing, implementing, and administering information systems to acquire, store, manage, and retrieve data.
  • Compile and analyze data, producing specialized reports, managing records, administering databases, and overseeing data governance processes.
  • Generate and evaluate equipment accountability and inventory logs and reports.
  • Compile data, perform analysis, and prepare reports, tracking tools, and synopses of analytical results.
  • Maintain status of CDRL items, including receiving, sending, recording activity, and reporting to Government staff.
  • Oversee document version control and staffing for government documents.
  • Provide input on and maintain records management plans in accordance with program requirements.
  • Perform and document file plans; deliver documentation per records management procedures.
  • Maintain various electronic files and program websites using web-based applications.
  • Analyze and recommend data requirements and specifications.
  • Design, normalize, develop, install, and implement databases.
  • Maintain, monitor, tune performance, back up, and recover databases.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database management system software.
  • Analyze and plan for changes in data capacity requirements.
  • Develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement and manage data mining and data warehousing programs.
  • Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and architectures.
  • Apply cybersecurity policies, principles, and best practices to all data management services.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, USAF, and program office security standards.
  • Configure SharePoint services and settings, documenting architecture and configuration.
  • Manage site quotas, file size limits, and content databases.
  • Create new content databases as required and maintain existing ones.
  • Review and monitor SharePoint usage reports.
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, layout structures, and content.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to SharePoint end users.
  • Assess and implement new SharePoint capabilities to enhance functionality.
