You will serve as a data representative working directly with sales and marketing DVP-level executives and their teams to identify data pain points, develop strategic roadmaps, and manage data initiative intake processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience working directly with VP/DVP-level executives and senior leadership teams
  • Strong product management or business analysis background with demonstrated ability to manage complex roadmaps
  • Experience identifying business pain points and translating them into actionable data strategies
  • Expertise in stakeholder management and intake process development
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with demonstrated ability to diagnose complex data issues
  • Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Salesforce knowledge and CRM platform experience
  • Proven track record of implementing and supporting data quality frameworks
  • Business Analysis skills and ability to understand complex systems and data flows
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially in marketing and sales domains
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex concepts to C-level executives
  • Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data stewardship practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in resolving both business process and technical data issues

Nice To Haves

  • Product management certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Product Management certifications)
  • Experience managing data product portfolios or data-as-a-product initiatives
  • The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple pillars of data management and ideally has worked with sales and marketing data

Responsibilities

  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary data representative working with VP and DVP-level executives across Sales and Marketing organizations to understand their strategic objectives and data needs.
  • Business Pain Point Identification: Proactively identify and document data-related pain points affecting business operations, working closely with leadership teams to prioritize and address critical issues.
  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Create and maintain comprehensive data roadmaps that align with business objectives, including timelines, resource requirements, and success metrics.
  • Intake Process Management: Establish and manage structured intake processes for data requests and initiatives, ensuring proper prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Define & Track Critical Data Elements (CDEs): Work with stakeholders to identify and build documentation on critical data elements for sales and marketing, ensuring they are well understood across the organization.
  • Data Lineage Documentation: Develop and maintain data lineage documentation for key sales and marketing datasets to ensure transparency and traceability of data across systems.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales operations, sales governance, data engineering, enterprise governance, analytics teams, and our Data Management Tech Lead to ensure alignment on data governance practices and strategic initiatives.
  • Business Case Development: Develop compelling business cases for data initiatives, including ROI analysis and impact assessments to secure executive buy-in and funding.
  • Product Management for Data: Apply product management principles to data initiatives, including feature prioritization, user story development, and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Technical Problem Resolution: Leverage SQL and data platform expertise to diagnose complex data issues and work with technical teams to implement solutions.
  • Data Strategy Communication: Translate complex data concepts into business language for executive audiences and drive awareness of data governance initiatives across the organization.
  • Data Stewardship: Act as a data steward for sales & marketing, work with relevant stakeholders to identify and develop corrective action plans and preventive measures to maintain data quality.
