What you’ll do: Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of advanced data pipelines and integration solutions, shaping how critical business data is transformed into actionable insights. As a principal system engineer you will drive innovation, set technical direction, and ensure our data ecosystem empowers analytics and strategic decisions across the Tower Strategy team. This role offers true autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to influence both technology and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of advanced data pipelines and integration solutions, shaping how critical business data is transformed into actionable insights.
  • Deep experience designing, building, and managing complex data pipelines and integration solutions in cloud environments.
  • Strong business acumen, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently to deliver high-impact results for analytics and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake), SQL, Python, and ETL tools strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture & Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data architectures and pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server).
  • Data Integration & Transformation: Develop automated processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse operational sources (such as CRM, ERP, or network management systems) into centralized, analytics-ready datasets.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate operational needs into effective, scalable data solutions.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Guide data engineering best practices and work closely with cross-functional teams including analysts, developers, and business users.
  • Performance, Reliability, & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, resolve data quality and reliability issues, and ensure high availability of data assets.
  • Documentation, Security, & Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation of data flows, ensure data security and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in data operations.
