In this critical role, you will lead a Data Engineering team to architect scalable data infrastructures that drive our mission for clean energy. This position encompasses mentoring talented engineers, designing robust data solutions aligned with strategic clean energy initiatives, and establishing technical standards throughout the organization. Collaborating with teams across Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Product, you'll transform business needs into effective data platforms utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Requirements
- 8+ years of professional data engineering experience, including 3 years in a senior role.
- Expertise in Snowflake architecture and optimization.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and data pipeline development.
- Experience with DBT for building production data models.
- Hands-on experience with Matillion for ETL/ELT orchestration.
- Track record of mentoring engineering teams and driving initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex query optimization.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD in production environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data architecture and pipelines aligned with ETL/ELT principles.
- Architect workflows using DBT to convert raw data into actionable analytics.
- Maintain production data pipelines with Python, DBT, Matillion, and Snowflake.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance coding efficiency and team productivity.
- Establish data engineering best practices and technical standards.
- Lead design reviews and provide architectural guidance.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and manage data costs.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve data capabilities.
