This position is responsible for performing the duties of Principal Data Architect working closely with Stakeholders, SMEs and Data Stewards. The role involves acting as a primary influencer and collaborator, working across teams to establish Architecture Patterns and Reference Architectures, promoting their adoption to align with business and technology strategies. The Principal Data Architect will outline and continuously update the target state for enterprise data architecture, detailing the strategy for creating and utilizing official data sources. They will serve as a key advisor on best practices in data governance and data architecture, conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance data literacy and governance adherence across the organization. The role also includes leading the establishment and maintenance of a data catalog and metadata management practices, managing cross-functional teams in the execution of data governance and architecture projects, and monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of data governance policies. Additionally, the Principal Data Architect will guarantee alignment of new data initiatives and projects with the organization-wide target data strategy and architecture, establish and oversee technical data standards and patterns, and collaborate with the security architect to set a comprehensive strategy for data security, access, and provisioning.
