The Data Architecture Team, part of Enterprise Architecture, is tasked with creating world-class, client-centric data solutions to drive competitive advantage, grow the global business, and enhance the investment experience. This team thrives on collaboration, shared trust, and diversity of thought, investing in talent through continuous learning, development, and exposure to emerging technologies. The Principal Data Architect will join the Global Data Architecture team to support Investments, Distributions, Corporate data, and overall architecture requirements, driving data architecture capabilities uplift by leveraging leading methods, tools, and theories to modernize existing solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an Information Technology Architect designing end to end data solutions, ideally within an enterprise.
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing data warehouses, data marts, OLTP solutions, with emphasis on hybrid or cloud native implementations.
- 5+ years of experience with data governance frameworks, reference architecture, technical roadmaps & solution blueprints.
- 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies & architecture governance.
- 5+ years of experience with data migrations, application modernization, proof of concept experiments and requirements gathering.
- Experience with stakeholders management and presenting solutions to mixed technical | non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in cloud-based technology environments, preferably AWS & Snowflake.
Nice To Haves
- TOGAF experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exposure and experience with additional cloud providers is nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Leading the architecture direction around data capabilities and solution architectures that require architecture oversight.
- Ensuring alignment of initiative-level high and low designs against the data/tech architecture standards and strategy and governing adherence to our key principles in this space.
- Understanding our data structures and initiatives to support data platforms, applications and solutions, as well as champion new solutions for existing groups who leverage the capabilities
- Work with Agile Squads, Business, and Stakeholders to investigate & perform data analysis for the purposes of creating new solutions.
- Communicate designs and explain design features and alternative approaches to internal consumers.
