Working as a Principal Cybersecurity within the Chief Security Office (CSO), you will work with Email Domain owners, business partners, and other AT&T teams; to design, implement, and maintain AT&T email security strategy and infrastructure. Focusing on protecting email systems from threats (E.g. phishing, malware, data breaches) enacting new security standards, and research emerging standards and protocols. The role involves creating, maintaining and enforcing robust email security policies that align with AT&T's business needs and security best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of relevant Internet protocols, including SMTP, DNS, message structure.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability issues, email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and email reputation systems.
  • Understanding of email solutions (Proofpoint, Exchange, etc.).
  • Understanding of encryption technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the roles of various sub-components of email systems (MTA, MDA, MUA, etc.) and their requirements.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.
  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure security best practices are enforced, report KPIs, work with GTO Operations and other business units, to implement email security solutions.
  • Develop and maintain email security standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance, including relevant regulatory and industry standards.
  • Identify emerging threats, assess risks and consult with stakeholders to implement email security practices.
  • Identify and report on solution performance metrics.
  • Continual evaluation of both new technologies and the threat landscape.
  • Communicate to a broad audience information explaining email security, standards, and enforcement actions.
  • Assist other business units to design implementations that adhere to existing standards.
