Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join our R.A.P.T.O.R. (Reconnaissance, Analysis, and Pursuit for Threat Operations and Response) organization. This role will drive complex, high-impact initiatives across the cybersecurity organization. You will oversee strategic programs spanning adversarial detection, cyber engineering, AI integration, deception technologies, 24x7 operations, and threat intelligence enablement. You will partner with senior technical and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, governance compliance, risk visibility, and alignment with enterprise objectives. This role demands both strategic leadership and hands-on program execution. You will be responsible for establishing program structure, tracking milestones and dependencies, and execution ensuring high-quality outcomes across multi-disciplinary technical teams. In this role, you will: Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership Lead end to end delivery of complex cybersecurity programs, coordinating across engineering, detections, threat intel, operations, and executive stakeholders. Define and maintain program charters, roadmaps, budgets, KPIs and governance structures. Track and manage program dependencies, risk, decisions, and resource allocations across interconnected projects. Ensure program alignment with threat driven priorities, business risk posture, and regulatory requirements. Act as the central coordination point for escalations, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication. Partner closely with 24x7 operations, threat hunters, engineers, and intel teams to ensure mission continuity and visibility across workstreams. Execute on program initiatives involving insider threat, deception technologies, reverse engineering, and threat hunting activities. Delivery of mission-critical cybersecurity initiatives that protect the institution from advanced threats. Maturity of the R.A.P.T.O.R. Cybersecurity Program through structure, automation, and cross team alignment. Transparency and trust across technical, operation, and executive cybersecurity stakeholders. The long-term strategy and operating model of modern, intelligence-led, engineering powered defense/hunt functions.
