Raytheon is seeking a Principal Cyber Engineer within the RTX Product Cybersecurity Center (PCsC). The PCsC works across all RTX Business unit programs and customers to proactively reduce the risks related to cybersecurity to our products and services. The PCsC requires an experienced engineer to complement the Cyber Assessments team working in a highly dynamic environment. This technical expert will be a key contributor, executing cyber assessments for RTX products and services while developing and delivering training content to the enterprise. The engineer executes and supports cyber assessment and training activities, including architecture reviews, RMF support, training content development and training delivery. Tasks include conducting product analysis, summarizing findings to technical and leadership audiences, and developing and delivering training to meet the needs of the RTX workforce. The engineer will continually improve - focusing on evolving cyber architectures and training. This is a fulltime remote position.

  • Be a subject matter expert in security related architecture, development, integration, and testing.
  • Engage with RTX Business Units (Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney, and Collins Aerospace) engineers and engineering leads in support of cyber assessments.
  • Support programs in the evaluation and improvement of system architectures from a security perspective.
  • Engage with programs to determine compliance with various security standards and requirements (ISO, DO-326A, NIST 800-53).
  • Develop and deliver cyber training to the RTX workforce.
  • Conduct product analysis and summarize findings to technical and leadership audiences.
  • Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Experience in system security engineering.
  • Experience in the application of security requirements and architectures such as ISO, DO-326A, NIST 800-53.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience developing security architectures and implementing security requirements.
  • Located within a one hour drive to an RTX facility highly preferred.
  • Experience delivering and developing training.
  • Experience in system security engineering as practiced by US Government agencies (e.g., DoD, IC, NASA) or security engineering related to Aerospace products.
  • Demonstrated experience with platform and software assessment tools and platforms such as Ghidra, Ida Pro, gdb, Trellix Malware Analysis.
