About The Position

This role will have an opportunity to influence strategic direction as well as identify and shape new opportunities to ensure the security of weapon and embedded systems. This work will include: Collection and assessment of program/weapon system resiliency efforts and mitigation solutions and associated data analysis to help determine the most effective ways to allocate sponsor funding through the CROWS project. Work closely with the AF sponsor, Program Offices, trusted vendor community, and members of the AF/DoD operational community to develop a 5-year strategy for the development and deployment of effective and cost-neutral cyber mitigation capabilities, both materiel and non-materiel. Present compelling, data-drive results to the CROWS program leadership to support POM inputs and partnerships with AFRL and industry. Initiate industry studies to identify possible mitigation solutions for rapid, low-cost deployment. Apply strong interpersonal skills to work across organizational interests to execute engineering efforts and produce resilient systems for our customers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Demonstrated background in systems engineering and cyber security as applied to DoD weapon and mission support (OT/ICS) systems.
  • Track record of innovative thinking with a bias toward action.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with sponsors at a senior level to identify key technical challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of AF missions and operations.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
  • Per the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and information assurance requirements
  • Possess strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Proven understanding of cyber threats to missions
  • 10+ years’ experience in cybersecurity with emphasis on mitigation development/demonstration
