About The Position

As a Principal Customer Solutions Engineer on our Rotating Equipment Services team, you will provide support to the RES Customer Solutions Manager focusing on near-term business opportunities. This includes supporting strategy development, offer development, and optimization of cost across product areas within RES. This includes the integration and growth of medium voltage safety related to new motor and stator rewind products. You will report to the RES Customer Solutions Manager and we will base you at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing or Business
  • 6+ years of experience in engineering, maintenance or field service within the commercial nuclear power plant industry.
  • Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plant projects and operations.
  • Familiarity with Westinghouse products in rotating equipment

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical cost and technical development within RES that meets customer needs, leading to orders entered.
  • Bring different groups together to quickly assess customer needs, and WEC ability to meet those needs. Also includes working across WEC organizations, suck as Westinghouse Parts Business.
  • Support incremental product growth by acquisition of safety related medium voltage, and qualification Intellectual Property (IP)
  • Leverage value of recent IP acquisition through transition phases and putting in place teams to address new opportunities for replacement safety related medium voltage motors and rewinds.
  • Work with product area experts to determine the need for innovation solutions, and work within process to provide plans to obtain funding and plans for implementation
