About The Position

The Principal Creative Development Producer will be instrumental in shaping and executing the creative vision for major Film/TV projects at a leading Video Game Studio. This role involves close collaboration with filmmakers and creative leaders, ensuring projects progress smoothly from inception to delivery while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and diversity within the studio.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of screenplay structure, character development, and script analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of the film, TV, and theater industries, with a strong interest in animation.
  • Extensive industry contacts with writers, creative talent, agents, managers, and scouts.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse creative teams, executives, and management.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, professionalism, and finesse in handling creative demands.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects or teams.
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant, comparable environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with filmmakers to drive and execute the creative vision for Film/TV titles, from concept through delivery, focusing on character, structure, and storytelling.
  • Manage the creative development and production of assigned projects while supporting the studio's overall Film/TV animation slate.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the studio and the external filmmaking community, promoting a culture of collaboration and creative feedback.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion throughout the development process.
  • Support the leadership team in mentorship, studio engagement, and strategic priorities.
  • Mentor and guide creative producers in collaboration with the Global Head of Animation.
  • Identify and adapt project milestones and monitor creative progress across the feature film, series, and short project slate.
  • Provide creative feedback in story sessions, pitches, screenings, edits, and music/sound/mix sessions.
  • Manage talent sourcing and matching for writers, directors, and showrunners.
  • Contribute to the development of project slates, crafting filmmaker briefs, leading creative working sessions, and overseeing script analysis.
  • Source and hire story and research consultants for projects in development and production.
  • Oversee research initiatives that influence story development across a range of projects.
  • Collaborate on the development of short-form and ancillary content within the studio.
  • Provide ongoing creative feedback on visual development materials, storyboards, and reels throughout all stages of production.
  • Collaborate with game and product teams to create integrated entertainment experiences.
  • Provide development support and feedback on other Film/TV projects across various mediums.
