The Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) Sub-Strategic Business Unit within Raytheon’s Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit has an immediate need to support the Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) Program as a Principal Cost Controls analyst on a strategic Program. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join this amazing team mostly based in Tucson, Arizona! This is a Major program and Key Strategic Pursuit for the company with high level engagement with the customer, Raytheon, and RTX leadership that could be a career defining opportunity with great visibility. On this program you'll get the experience of going from design, test, to prototype on a large $412M competitive pursuit. This role will be mainly responsible for consolidating Estimate at Completion (EAC) Inputs in preparation of Quarterly EACs working across the program team to generate the package out of EDIT+. You'll also act as backup for Contract Data Requirements list (CDRLs) including IPMDAR (successor to IPMR Formats), CFSR, and provide analysis to assist leadership in making sound decisions for the financial execution of the programs being supported. You will partner with a multi-functional program team including the Program Director, CAMs and IPT Leads, joining other finance analysts supported by a Finance Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate with product area leadership as well as the Engineering, Operations & Supply Chain, Contracts, and Integrated and Cross Product Teams providing them with financial execution support to drive program performance excellence. You will have strong financial, accounting, and earned value management system (EVMS) knowledge, the ability to summarize and present information supporting key decision making, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, the ability to multitask and apply innovative thinking to solve challenges, effective and appropriate communication skills, and the ability to execute with team members at all levels of the organization. This role is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work can be done in Tucson, AZ, Andover, MA, McKinney, TX or Huntsville, AL. Relocation assistance is not being offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field & a minimum of 5 years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and minimum of 3 years finance work experience
  • Experience with EAC's and/or estimating program costs
  • Experience with the Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, and/or Power Point)
  • Experience using ERP Systems (i.e SAP Business Systems PRISM, SAP, AO reporting) or a similar system

Responsibilities

  • Manage the quarterly EAC process and generate the package for PMO and President level reviews
  • Support CAMs in development of variance analysis especially around Estimate to Completions (ETC)
  • Provide backup support on external USG financial CDRLS (e.g. IPMDAR, CFSR)
  • Support Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) via baseline establishment and maintenance
  • Support Contractual Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) implementation and maintenance, variance analysis, monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development, data analysis and reporting
  • Utilize a comprehensive suite of program controls tools (Business Warehouse (BW), Analysis for Office (A/O), SAP/APEX, PM Tools Suite) to provide targeted EVMS analysis that drives efficiencies and meets internal and external EVMS compliance standards
  • Collaborate with key functional leaders in the Program Office, Engineering, Supply Chain, as well as Leadership Team to support financial reviews and execution of a program with significant scope
  • Provide support for internal/external program reviews with key team members
  • Partner with PM and Planning for EV implementation and analyze and report program EVMS cost and schedule performance
