We are looking for a Principal Controls Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing business segment. Our systems incorporate the latest technology to bring friction stir welding, waterjet cutting, vision guided robotics and other advanced processes to production in civil and commercial aerospace manufacturing. Requirements

  • 12+ years of controls engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex automation solutions.
  • Expertise in PAR’s standard tools and practices, including Siemens Sinumerik One and TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View, Fanuc TP Programming and RoboGuide, Visual Studio C# and VB, Ignition, AutoCAD and SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Flexibility to move rapidly between projects, providing support and troubleshooting for critical issues as they arise.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of standard code and design best practices.
  • Ability to provide leadership and drive internal collaboration between multiple functions, including Project Management, Operations, and Quality.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Willingness to travel (typically no more than 10%, with occasional spikes to 25%).
  • Regulatory knowledge, including NEC, NFPA, UL, CE standards (preferred).
  • Strong systems expertise.
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • US Person.

  • Solve challenging engineering problems and steer the company’s automation strategy.
  • Manage multiple high-level projects while providing subject matter expertise across disciplines.
  • Lead efforts in securing new business opportunities and supporting project delivery.
  • Shape the future of the company in emerging markets.
  • Take ownership of key business decisions, providing financial insight into bids and evaluating value propositions.
  • Ensure project performance meets company standards.
  • Build strong customer relationships and win new accounts.
  • Identify new market opportunities to deploy existing technologies.
