The Position The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly collaborative Legal Contracts Specialist to join our legal team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of agreements while working in close coordination with a team of contract professionals. The ideal candidate is a "team-first" contributor—someone who excels at individual drafting and negotiation but also thrives on sharing knowledge and improving collective workflows to help the entire department succeed.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in contract administration, paralegal work, or a related legal environment.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A proven track record of working effectively within a team and a willingness to provide backup support to colleagues during peak periods.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiating with external parties and brainstorming with internal teammates.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and document version control.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, AI (Gemini, CoPilot, etc.) and digital signature platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Drafting & Negotiation
  • Standard Agreements: Prepare, review, and negotiate standard agreements (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, Vendor Contracts), working closely with business stakeholders and outside parties to ensure goals are met.
  • Custom Drafting: Draft language for new requirements and specialized projects as business needs evolve.
  • Attorney Support: Assist counsel in the drafting, editing, and execution of complex documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Team Collaboration & Operations
  • Collective Effort: Work as part of a unified contracts team to balance workloads, peer-review drafts, and ensure consistency in contract interpretation.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to a shared library of templates and playbooks to ensure the team remains aligned and efficient.
  • Process Improvement: On own initiative, propose and drive continuous improvements to legal processes that enhance the efficiency of the entire team.
  • Lifecycle Management & Reporting
  • Process Oversight: Maintain the contract management process to ensure a smooth flow of execution and archiving.
  • Accuracy: Ensure the integrity of the contract database and the secure storage of all executed documents.
  • Activity Reporting: Issue regular reports on contract activities, deadlines, and departmental metrics.
